Mark E. McDermott

Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Mark McDermott is vice president and chief information officer of APAC Customer Services, Inc. He joined APAC in March of 1996. His strong leadership, ongoing contributions and outstanding track record ensures that APAC remains positioned as a leading technology delivery and innovative solutions provider. 

Mark brings over 25 years of technology and customer care outsourcing management experience. He leverages his extensive experience to develop and drive APAC’s technology strategy, which includes identifying aggressive goals in delivery options and reliability, IT governance and customer experience innovation. He employs a consultative and value-add approach for each APAC client. This approach optimizes and continuously improves the technical environment while utilizing innovative solutions to help APAC and its clients service their customers better.

Prior to APAC, Mark spent 11 years at Waste Management Incorporated. During his tenure, he led the technical due diligence, consolidation strategy and conversion activity associated with Waste Management’s extensive high organic growth and mergers and acquisitions activity. He also oversaw several internal technology functions, including data center operations, application development and customer / technical support.
